This is my second ship on this project! The reason for that is because I felt like the game is still a bit incomplete and unbalanced. Also, I wanted to take people’s feedback and put it in my game. So after I added some new features and did some balance changes, I felt like the project is a lot more finished. If you were one of the people who helped test my game, thank you!
I added a Machine gunner. It has a fast firerate and is very tanky. The thing about it is that you can’t buy it. You have to wait for it to spawn.
I did a lot of balance changes on the turrets. I can’t list them all because there are too much.
I also added a credits page in the menu.

The game is easier. Some people said the rounds are too hard, so I’ve decreased the amount of enemies. 🤖🤖🤖
The sound effects for defenses, troops, and enemies are quiet. If it’s still not enough for you, you can go to the settings of the game. 🔉🔉🔉
People said that I didn’t make a lot of devlogs. So starting from the next event, I will start tracking my progress better.🧾🧾🧾

This project was inspired by the greedy ai companies hoarding up ram so they can make their ai slop machine better.
This is the first project that I uploaded onto itch.io, so it was a new experience I guess.
A big challenge I faced while making this project is the balancing. In my other games, balancing wasn’t a big deal because those projects were very simple. But now, my project has a lot of stuff and mechanics. Every time I add a enemy or defense, I got to go tweak their stats to balance the game.
This project turned out really good for me, and I hope you can enjoy it too.
Added sound into the game! Most things have some sort of sound effect now. I don’t know what else to say but this is a big update for this project.
Other than sound, I made a bunch of balance changes for the buildings and enemies.

Fixed the bug where you can’t click anything after right clicking on a tile.
Made it so that you don’t have to delete the grass to place stuff. It automatically does it for you.

When an enemy, turret, or troop is hit, the will be a text aside them that shows how much damage they have been dealt. This might be annoying, so if you want to turn it off, go to the settings.
In the settings you can toggle the UI.

Nerfed the Shield guy. He doesn’t minimize the damage anymore. But I gave him more health.
Spawner guy is more expensive to summon, so there wouldn’t be an army of them.
Cybertruck is also more expensive to summon.
Boogie Mine is more expensive.(90)

Made a crosschair(i think thats what is it called)! When you hover over a tile, it will be highlighted.

Bullets now have a their own art! Turrets and Soldiers have normal bullets, while robots have their own special blue bullets.
Enemy have their own kinds of guns now. They are futuristic, or probably from Desla.
Made the “Game Over” Screen. It tells you how many rounds you survived, and your total score(All off the money you made added up). The screen also gives you a button, which takes you back to the main menu.
When a bullet hits an enemy, turret, or , a “hit effect” will appear.

There is another new enemy! This one can shoot multiple bullets at once like a shotgun, and has a lot more health than the regular robots. It even has its own animation! (Walking, Idle, and Shooting)
I have started working on the Ram gamobjects again. They can now take damage and be destroyed, but cannot trigger the “Gameover” thing.

Since the regular enemies don’t have any protection, they die really easily and drop like flies. Because of this, I decided to add an enemy that tanks the shots for the enemies.🛡️🛡️🛡️
I made some balance changes to the turrets, enemies and troops. This took a lot of time because I had to test the game a lot.😢😢
Made a bit of change in the tutorial.

Instead of having to be in the game immediately after opening the game, you will enter the the menu first. Right now you can only look at the tutorial in the menu, but I might add other things to it.
I also added a tutorial, where it goes over the controls and game mechanisms.

New Enemy: Robot Spawner! This enemy spawns a group of enemies every few seconds! (3 troops / 8 seconds) Only appears after 4 levels for balance.
Instead of having all types of enemies in round 1, I made it so that you had to unlock them. For example, the cyber truck can be spawned after the first level. This system is good because it makes the game easier to understand(At least for me).

Robot spawner: A Robot that summons a group of robots every once and a while.
Buffed robots: Regular robots will get a chance to get a huge buff in their speed, attack, and hit points.
You can now earn and lose money! To get cash, kill robots with your turrets. I hope I didn’t make it too hard to progress and play.
There are now rounds. Each round has enemies. Kill the enemies to progress through them. The higher the round, the harder it becomes.
I added notifications to that can tells you some information. Later, I can make it give tips to you.

When starting a match, a notification will pop up. It tells you the round number and where the enemies will come from.
There are now boundaries now. You are given limited space to place stuff onto the tiles. But as you complete more rounds, you are gradually given more space to place things.

Cyber Truck!! They have a lot of health and can tank heavyturret’s shots. When destroyed, 10 robots spawn. Of course, they have the speed of a car. This car made by Desla.
Changed some turret and troop damage so they can be more balanced.
If you right click on the selections, you can have the building informations(Damage, info, etc).
Troops can now deal damage nomrally to other enemies.
Troops can now face the right way when aiming.
Troops and Enemies won’t glide randomly after being touched when idle.
Fixed important instance error.

I implemented Troops with guns. They are kind of weak, but if there are multiple of them they are very powerful.
Made some changes in the turret’s damage.
Maybe add more types of troops.
I will add a cybertruck tank for the enemy because why not.

I made more art for the gameobjects. HeavyTurret, the Robot Enemies, and the Troops all have their sprites.
To indicate the turrets are reloading, they will now produce some smoke.
Troops rotates the right way when facing an object.
There is now a barrier that keeps everything in.

Added in a gameloop! In each round, enemies will spawn. Between each rounds, there will be a time where you can prepare more defenses and press the button that will start another round.
Made the troops and turrets circles so the troops can move around the turrets a lot easier.
Turrets are actually dealt damage(Past updates basically made them invincible).
Turrets don’t have unlimited range.
