This project was inspired by the greedy ai companies hoarding up ram so they can make their ai slop machine better.

This is the first project that I uploaded onto itch.io, so it was a new experience I guess.

A big challenge I faced while making this project is the balancing. In my other games, balancing wasn’t a big deal because those projects were very simple. But now, my project has a lot of stuff and mechanics. Every time I add a enemy or defense, I got to go tweak their stats to balance the game.

This project turned out really good for me, and I hope you can enjoy it too.

  • Added sound into the game! Most things have some sort of sound effect now. I don’t know what else to say but this is a big update for this project.

  • When an enemy, turret, or troop is hit, the will be a text aside them that shows how much damage they have been dealt. This might be annoying, so if you want to turn it off, go to the settings.

  • I added the Missile Turret! The missiles it shoots out has a big radius and does a lot of damage to those caught in it. It only has one and it take a while to reload. It costs $400.

  • Nerfed the Shield guy. He doesn’t minimize the damage anymore. But I gave him more health.

  • Spawner guy is more expensive to summon, so there wouldn’t be an army of them.

  • Added the Boogie Mine! It’s like if a Land Mine and Boogie Bomb had a baby. When an enemy steps on it, it explodes and makes the enemies go in circles(Their way of dancing)(Honestly I don’t think I should make them “boogie” because I don’t know how to make those kind of effects.

  • Made a crosschair(i think thats what is it called)! When you hover over a tile, it will be highlighted.

Marvelous Ripe Updates🤤🤤🤤

Devlog 24


Things I added:

  • Bullets now have a their own art! Turrets and Soldiers have normal bullets, while robots have their own special blue bullets.

  • Enemy have their own kinds of guns now. They are futuristic, or probably from Desla.

  • Made the “Game Over” Screen. It tells you how many rounds you survived, and your total score(All off the money you made added up). The screen also gives you a button, which takes you back to the main menu.

  • When a bullet hits an enemy, turret, or , a “hit effect” will appear.

New Enemy and Minor Changes

Devlog 23


Things I added:

  • There is another new enemy! This one can shoot multiple bullets at once like a shotgun, and has a lot more health than the regular robots. It even has its own animation! (Walking, Idle, and Shooting)

  • I have started working on the Ram gamobjects again. They can now take damage and be destroyed, but cannot trigger the “Gameover” thing.

  • More balancing for the turrets and enemies.

Things Added in this update:

  • Since the regular enemies don’t have any protection, they die really easily and drop like flies. Because of this, I decided to add an enemy that tanks the shots for the enemies.🛡️🛡️🛡️

  • I made some balance changes to the turrets, enemies and troops. This took a lot of time because I had to test the game a lot.😢😢

  • Made a bit of change in the tutorial.

Things I added:

  • New Enemy: Robot Spawner! This enemy spawns a group of enemies every few seconds! (3 troops / 8 seconds) Only appears after 4 levels for balance.

  • Instead of having all types of enemies in round 1, I made it so that you had to unlock them. For example, the cyber truck can be spawned after the first level. This system is good because it makes the game easier to understand(At least for me).

Things I added in this update:

  • Gold Diggers are here! (Not the gross kind) They are a good way to have passive income. They will give you money at the end of each match.💰💰💰

Things that will come up in the next update:

  • The next update is going to be for enemies.🤖🤖

  • Robot spawner: A Robot that summons a group of robots every once and a while.

  • Buffed robots: Regular robots will get a chance to get a huge buff in their speed, attack, and hit points.

Things I added:

  • You can now earn and lose money! To get cash, kill robots with your turrets. I hope I didn’t make it too hard to progress and play.

  • There are now rounds. Each round has enemies. Kill the enemies to progress through them. The higher the round, the harder it becomes.

  • I added notifications to that can tells you some information. Later, I can make it give tips to you.

Big Juicy Update🔥🔥

I might have forgot to add devlogs, but its okay I will just put everything here

Things I added:

  • Added in Troop Control. When you need the troops to go to the desired spot, just press R to activate following mode and click on the spot you want them to go to.

A Thing I tried to add:

  • I tried to add pathfinding into my enemies with my homemade A* model but it didn’t work. This took a really long time. But, I might reattempt it later because I got some clues on how to make it work.

Bug fixes:

  • Made it so that the turrets won’t damage the enemies again.

Things I added:

  • When starting a match, a notification will pop up. It tells you the round number and where the enemies will come from.

  • There are now boundaries now. You are given limited space to place stuff onto the tiles. But as you complete more rounds, you are gradually given more space to place things.

  • Probably gonna add currency, because you can’t just have infinite resources.

Fresh Updates

Devlog 13

This update took way longer than expected

Things I added:

  • Cyber Truck!! They have a lot of health and can tank heavyturret’s shots. When destroyed, 10 robots spawn. Of course, they have the speed of a car. This car made by Desla.

  • Changed some turret and troop damage so they can be more balanced.

  • If you right click on the selections, you can have the building informations(Damage, info, etc).

Bug fixes:

  • Troops can now deal damage nomrally to other enemies.

  • Troops can now face the right way when aiming.

  • Troops and Enemies won’t glide randomly after being touched when idle.

  • Fixed important instance error.

Devlog 11

Thing update is mainly for bug fixes and research.


Things I added:

  • I implemented Troops with guns. They are kind of weak, but if there are multiple of them they are very powerful.

  • Made some changes in the turret’s damage.

  • I will add a cybertruck tank for the enemy because why not.

New Stuff:

  • Made new art for the Machine Turret. The tiles and weed came from my previous game, Farming Simluator.

  • I made more art for the gameobjects. HeavyTurret, the Robot Enemies, and the Troops all have their sprites.

  • To indicate the turrets are reloading, they will now produce some smoke.

  • Started on the art of the game. Right now, only the basic turret and army camp have their sprites. The soldier is probably going to be the next one getting artwork.
  • I made the movement only left and right, because the up and down isn’t necessary and will just mess things up.

Added a Gameloop!

Things added in this update:

  • Added in a gameloop! In each round, enemies will spawn. Between each rounds, there will be a time where you can prepare more defenses and press the button that will start another round.

  • Made the troops and turrets circles so the troops can move around the turrets a lot easier.

Things fixed in this update:

  • Turrets are actually dealt damage(Past updates basically made them invincible).

  • Turrets don’t have unlimited range.

Ram Implementation!

Devlog 6


  • There is now the ram! The enemies will get to the ram and make an attempt to steal it. Use your turrets and soldiers to stop them. I might make it so that there isn’t just one, but multiple. If you lose them all, you lose.

Minor changes:

  • Buildings now have hitpoints so enemies can kill them.
  • Enemies now can also target the rams.
  • You can now press shift to move the camera faster.

Army camps & Troops


  • Added army camps! They will spawn troops every 4 seconds on your command. Later, these will be expensive because it will be too overpowered.
  • Troops are here. Right now, there is only one class, which is the melee troops. They can only do close-ranged combat. If you have a lot of them, they will easily overpower hoards of enemies.
  • Added a feature where if you right-click, you can have the option to “Destroy” the building.

Things I added in this update:

  • There is now a third kind of turret! Its the machineTurret. It fires low damage bullets with a really fast firing rate. This gun isn’t really accurate though.
  • Test Enemies are here. All they will do is go after the turrets.

  • I want to want WebGL so people can test out this game and give feedback on how i should improve this.
  • I also want to add soldiers and buildings that will help fight off the enemies.

Another Mini update

Starting on the turrets and tile editing


What I did in this update:

  • After making the object(Using the gamedata) that has the characteristic of a turret, I made a physical structure of it. You can now place down turrets on the tiles.
  • Currently, I only made two kinds of turrets, which are basic and heavy. The heavy turret hits a lot harder but with a slower reload time(They will fire at enemies on the next update).
  • When you press x, you can delete the thing on the tile you are hovering.

For the next update:

  • I will be adding test enemies and bullets. Thats all of now.

Game Datas


  • I added turret and Building data classes! Now it would be easier to create new buildings and defenses. All I have to do is just to create a new object with an image, very easy to change and add.
  • You can now view the information and statistics of your deck. For example, I want to use a building or turret but I don’t know what it does. All I do is just to hover over the thing and it will give me the information.

The start of this game development!


Things I added: (Some may not be added yet)

  • Added a bit of test tiles. I will see if they can store a child gameobject(which is gonna be the buildings). They are also for seeing if they can respond to the cursor.

Cooking Simulator, a multiplayer fast-paced cooking game. You have to satisfy orders while killing people who hate your food.

  • This game has helped me improve on a lot of things. This game helped to know how to design to UI better. It also helped me learn how to take feedback and letting it help grow the game.
  • The main problem I had was not really anything related to coding or bugs, it’s mainly about the amount of time I had. Still, I managed to finish this passion project.

Finishing Touch!

This might be my last update for this project.


  • I added the police. If your rating is too low, a group of them will barge into your kitchen and attack you. The police attack you by shooting.
  • Added a system when you can go back to the menu by either pressing escape or by dying. Now you don’t have to refresh the page to get to the menu.
  • Made 3 new levels.

This update is mostly for testing the game.

Things I added:

  • I added multiplayer to my game! You have to use a lot of teamwork to satisfy customer’s orders. Right now, it isn’t very polished and might be a bit buggy. It will get better very soon if I get some feedback. To see how to control the second person, go to the game to see the controls.

  • The level page UI has gotten a huge glow-up. You can now see what the level looks like beforehand. It just looks better in general.

Things I added to this update:

  • New levels have been added. 👍🍔
    So far, there is now 3 of them. Each of them has the same ingredients but have different layouts. In later updates, I might make it so that people can create their own levels!
  • There are now inspectors!👨‍⚕️
    Inspectors will act like regular people but will check on your restaurant. If you have blood on the floor or tables(Because of your accidents), the inspector will drastically decrease your rating. To avoid this, use the bounty to clean up the messes.

Future updates:

  • Maybe will add local multiplayer. I’ve played overcooked and I know that adding multiple people into one game will be very fun. This might be my next update.

This is a small update, but is an important one.

  • New Item! The Knife is added. It’s not for cutting vegetables or other ingredients. It’s more for self defense.

Things I did in this update:

  • There is now an entrance and exit to the kitchen(You can’t go out or in). Only customers can go inside your kitchen and harass you.
  • Added a new Item. Use Bounty paper towels to clean up accidents(Human blood)!
  • Made a better menu screen.
  • Fixed the gun bug where you can still shoot even if you aren’t holding the gun.
  • When a customer dies, they do a death animation.

Next Update:

  • There will be health inspectors. They will come to your kitchen and check if there is any bad things(Blood, food on the floor). If they see anything bad, they will drastically lower your rating for your restaurant.

Things I added:

  • There is now a review system. If you serve a dish correctly, your review goes up. But if you mess up an order, your review goes down. Also, your review goes down way faster if you have too many angry customers.
  • I added angry customers. If you mess up an order, an angry customer will storm into your kitchen. They will harass you for eternity. To stop this, use a gun to get rid of them.
  • Gun. Very straight forward. Use the blicky to make the angry customers disappear.

New Controls:

  • Shift: Dash. Makes you run faster.
  • Space: Fire(Only when holding gun).

  • There is now a gameloop! You have to make the food you customers want. They will tell you on the top of the screen.
  • You can now earn points and money. They will be useful after a few more changes and updates.
  • Added some effects when chopping and cooking food.

  • You can now make burgers and steak!🍔🥩
  • Food can be dropped onto the floor. It’s a disgusting game mechanic but very cool.
  • Lettuce, cheese, and the bun are now in the game.

How to make burgers:

  1. Get a bun and put it on a plate.
  2. Take out your beef and put it on the multi purpose pan.
  3. After its cooked, put it on the plate.
  4. Get another bun and you are done!
  5. (Optional) You can put cheese or lettuce (You got to cut the lettuce first) on the burger.

Future updates:

  • Webgl will be released so people can test this game and give feedback.

I added a ton of new updates in this project!

  • There is now art in the game.
  • You can now chop and cook food! Place them on a chopper or pan, and then press “e” to do the actions. Later on, I’m gonna make them take some time to cook or chop.
  • Added food crates. When you need more ingredients, you can just grab some more from the crates. There is infinite food inside.

This is a sandbox game about farming, surviving, thriving, on an island.

What I learned from this experience:

  • Art isn’t normally something I put into my projects. But I wanted to make something good for this event so I decided to add some art.
  • This event gave me more reason to code, so I learned a lot of programming and got better.
  • I learned how to give feedback and take them. This is from the Flavortown slack channels.

My project turned out better than I thought!

New Update!
This is a pretty big one.

Changes:

  • There is now sound in the game. Most of the SFX comes from Minecraft.
  • Added a river that runs on the island. If you plant some crops near it, they will grow a lot faster.
  • Made a Bridge block so you can cross rivers.
  • Wheat grows slower.
  • Guns now need ammo to reload, which you can buy at the shop. When equipped, you can’t edit blocks around you.
  • Sheep will drop wool when killed. They are pretty valuable and will make you some money when sold. (Around $15)
  • There is a small chance that coins will drop when clearing out weeds.
  • Added some beautiful images on the corners of the island so you can observe.

Added:

  • At night, monsters spawn. They will eat your crops and animals. Use a gun to slime them out.
  • Torches produce light and prevents monsters from spawning at night.
  • Sheeps will now spawn in a day. Right now they don’t do anything except eat grass and wander around. You can show them seeds and they will follow you.

I will try to add these additions to the webGL.

Small Update:

  • Palm Trees grow on sand and produce coconuts. The coconuts cost the same as apples(2 coins).
  • You can now harvest wood from trees of any kind. They will appear in your stock.

Other things coming up in the future:

  • Animals, they can eat weed and give you meat when killed.
  • Zombies Spawning. I haven’t put that in the final commit because it interferes with testing.

The reason I didn’t add as much to their update compared to the other ones is because I’m trying to get WebGL to work. The files are corrupted for some reason and it’s really hard to track down the issues and fix them.

  • A menu page so you don’t start immediately.
  • Cursor Text that tells you what some materials are
  • Now the location in the game is located on a island.
  • A shovel to dig up gravel, which makes the player walk faster.
  • Some bug fixes, like trees clipping into the stands.
  • Trees can now occasionally spawn apples.

I’m currently working on:

  • WebGL is very hard to set up and might take a week because it’s my first time doing this.
  • Save and Load data.
  • Zombie AI, now they can wander around and destroy crops.

Things I did in this update:

  • Made a Selling Station. You can give your stock to earn money. The money can be used to buy more materials or tools.
  • Fixed some glitches, like tools not showing up.
    -Made a simple gameplay loop.

Things I will add in the future:

-WebGL
I am still trying to make it so that people and test my game. This is my first time doing it so it might take a while to finish.
-Save/Load progress
This feature is very hard and often breaks the game. So for right now I am not gonna commit it.
-Making the enemies spawn naturally
The zombie’s AI isn’t completely finished yet, currently it can only run towards you and attack. I am trying to make it smarter and steal your plants.
-Storyline
I’m not sure what the story will be yet.

I added some extra things in this update👍

  1. Art for some items and blocks
  2. A shop called “WalStand” which is basically a Walmart but a stand
  3. A stock system, where products like apple and wheat go into the stock. I will later implement a selling station where you can give them the stock.
  4. Health system. You will get damaged by mobs like zombies
  5. Zombies. They cant really spawn right now but I will make it so that they spawn at night and you will have to defend your life and your crops.
  6. I forgot to remove the random text but its fine.

I am still trying to set up WebGL so people can test but I have been really busy doing stuff.

I am almost done with the layout, items, and gameloop on my project. Later im gonna add art and visuals. I also put it on github.
