[!!!] Added a Video DEMO link. The Onshape CAD Link is now in the GITHUB Readme.

This is an Automatic Turret like the tf2’s engineer. It tracks and shoot targets. Intended for riot control and other defense uses. Uses Pan/Tilt mechanism made by me for learning CAD. Has HMI so that I can learn software side and uses computer vision so that I can learn OpenCV and other stuff. Soon to add a ToF sensor for detecting distance to target for aiming purposes. I am solo developing this project.

  • Added a shooting manager ( It decides when to shoot, when to not, kinda inefficient tho )
  • Made some changes to the shooting manager ( Made it shoot while the gun was moving, not a good fix tho )

  • Made changes to Controller
  • Made changes to HMI
  • Made changes to Arduino Code

[HARDWARE]

  • Made Longer Barrel for accuracy
  • Changed Sizes in Barrels and changed driving gear in gun to D-Type

[ FUTURE ]

  • Thinking of ditching this gun design as its taking too much motor load, might change to high RPM to Torque

[HARDWARE]
< Changes >

  • Made the gun’s driving gear to a D-Type shaft input to fix slippage.
  • Made the barrel longer to help with accuracy.
  • Fixed the push rod diameter to match with the newer barrel.

[SOFTWARE]

< New stuff >
Added a shooter controller in the controller code.

< Fixed Bugs >

  • Changed default dead-zone size as the slider shows 30 but the actual value was 10.
  • Cleaned up some of the code and changed some bad variable names

[HARDWARE]

( Soon to print and test )

  • Extended barrel length and changed internal barrel diameter ( Now it looks like the german Schwerer Gustav 😭😭)
