First devlog, woohoo! Cubby is a past project that I want to pick up again. It’s pretty barebones right now - hopefully I’ll be able to improve it!
I did quite a few things! First off, Nest is currently not working, and Cubby was using a Python backend running in Nest to store website data. So, to get Cubby back up and running again, I moved the website data to a new sites.json file in the root of the repo, which is then mirrored to the website’s public assets folder using a GitHub Actions workflow (I had never written one of those from scratch before!). That means no backend is necessary now.
I also sketched up some new component prototypes on Figma: I want to redesign the website because it’s a) pretty lacking and b) autumn-themed (right now it is famously not autumn!). I also picked a new colour scheme and font. I’ll use them in the website later
