DEVLOG #1

Today i layed the groundwork for Nibiru - THE UI Framework for creating native cross platform applications with ease!

How this works?
Well it just parses json and makes UI.

What got implemented today?

  • Stack Layout
  • Text
  • Button
  • Sidebar (that was hard 😮‍💨)

What is missing?
The two most important things missing are:

  • A lot of Elements (Toggles, Sliders, TextInput, etc.)
  • Scripting

How would scripting work?
With JavaScript 🥳, because it is EASY!

I have implemented just Windows for now, using WPF and the Official Fluent Theme, but support for Mac and Linux is comming soon.

Follow the project to not miss anything 🙂

DEVLOG #4.5

I think the board scene is complete. Maybe i will add some old posters on the wall but for now it is great. Can’t wait to move on to working on the Apartment scene.

If there is anything you think can be improved, feel free to share :D (it helps a lot)

In this update I added:

  • New cards look
  • New font
  • New UI
  • A Custom Cursor, adapting to colors under it
  • Added the first ‘useless’ detail like the light switch

Feedback is always welcome and is actually very important :D

DEVLOG #2

Today I worked on one of the core pillars of Case Closed: talking to suspects and deciding who you think did it.

I implemented an Interview System that supports:
• Audio playback for dialogue
• Subtitle support (not wired up yet, but ready)
• Multiple interview options, letting players steer the conversation

On top of that, I added the Convict Slot — a dedicated place where you drag the suspect card you believe is guilty. This ties the investigation board directly into the act of accusation and makes the player’s conclusion feel intentional rather than automatic.

The foundation is now there for branching interviews, misleading statements, and consequences based on who you choose to trust.

More updates soon 👀

This is the first devlog for Case Closed! Today I started building the core systems for the game:

• Investigation Board System – where all clues, suspects, and locations are tracked.•
• Card System – with different card types: Generic Clue, Location, and Suspect.
• Location Switching – inspecting a Location card now spawns you there so you can find more clues.
• Clue Objects – interactable objects in locations that lead to additional hints.

This is just the beginning, and there’s still a lot more to build. If you like what you see, follow the project to stay updated on future progress! :D
