Authentication is finally working! I tried so many wayto get email confirmation right, and I finally did it. The flow is: sign up with email, password, first name, and last name → click the verification link in your email → get redirected to the dashboard, where you appear as verified in the database.

On the dashboard, at the bottom left, you can see your full name, profile picture with initials, and email (all stored in the session). Finally!

that is a very very clean login page and homepage

Made the form ask for “last name” and “first name” seperatly instead of only “Name” so it shows up as “Display Name” on supabase. I added a hide/show button on the signup form. And lastly I added some backend for the confirm email page. If the backend passes “confirmed_email = True” then /confirm shows a message that the email has been confirmed, while if it is “confirmed_email = False” then it shows the email has not been confirmed visual. I also did some minor UI and text changes across the site.

Many thing were done on this devlog. First of all, I completely changed the waitlist flow. The form now has same styling with the landing page, making it 10 times better, and the same goes for the thank you page. I made it send the data to 2 different places, so nothing gets lost if supabase goes down. I also worked on authentication, making the confirm email page and it’s styling.

I changed the settings on coolify to not auto deploy, so the current prod version is a static landing page and I can work freely on the full app on dev. I unlocked many routes, made the signup and login page frontend. I also changed the waitlist buttons to “try now” (prod still remains waitlist). I spent some time watching supabase tutorials, and I finally managed to make a basic sign up system where you sign up with email, password, name and then you can view (just the email for now) on the meetings page, saving in the session as user. Auth needs improvement and I would say only 1/5 is done. I also got many new waitlist entries today! The sign up form also sends the password to the backend before signing up and it checks if its too short or if it doesn’t match with the confirmed password. Stay tuned for more!

Firstly, I made some changes to the list meetings page from the previous meetings. I made the title a bit bigger and made the gap between title and description smaller. I also added an email preview on the bottom left under the name. Lastly, on the right side I added a search box, a date search, and a clear button. Now about the upload page, it’s pretty simple, just the frontend again. On the toolbar the “Upload” is highlighted. Then, the background grid and a simple upload box with 3d style.

I spent most of my time (untracked) sketching the meetings page layout on paper, then coded it and this is how it turned out! For each meeting, Notefy generates a title and a ~7 word description, which are shown in the list view. I also fixed a CSS bug where a gradient was accidentally set to 1% black and 99% green instead of being fully green. Overall, the page was super simple to make with tailwind css. I only made the Desktop version and its not mobile responsive yet. Feedback?

Created the new Why Us section. Some user on Reddit recommended I add this for more info. I went through many variations, some of them including the logo, but this is the final one with the grid background and 2 boxed without titles. Next step is to add some bold text!

Updated the reviews page! Now it looks way better than before. I also started testing authentication with supabase, and decided I will use that as a DB. I also made a virtual environment, .env for credentials, .gitignore and some more stuff about auth (unused). Feedback on the reviews page?

actually wow!

Created the login page and signup page. They are very bad as of now, I need to add text on the left side. I paid someone for the logo, and it’s awesome! I also wrote the endpoints for terms of service and privacy policy. Lastly, as Rei suggested I changed integration microicons to the light green shade since the others didn’t match. I still need suggestions on the signup & login page because they are awful!

This devlog mainly consists of landing page changes. I fixed many imperfections, added this beta users component, and changed the moving line thingy. I also started using a different highlight for the hero text. I still couldn’t figure out how to remove the gap on the scrolling line before “SECURE”
Also working on some backlinks off-page SEO, and got 6 waitlist entries

good good but tbh everything is either green, white or black, so the colors in Share give weird feeling

I spent time looking for inspiration for the landing page and came across a really cool site. I inspected the source to see the font, button styling, and background grid, then used that as inspiration. After that, I worked on the static code and wrote all of the text for the project, explaining what is Notefy. I also created a separate project (not in this repo) for the waitlist, using a SQL database hosted on a subdomain.

The landing page turned out great. A lot of time went into designing the page, writing about Notefy, and making it nice enough for users to join the waitlist. Finally, I tried deploying it to my Coolify as a static site, but that didn’t work, so I set up a Flask server to serve it and it’s working now. This approach also means I won’t have to switch repositories in the future when the project gets a real backend.

I also put out a bounty for a logo, many people participated but eventually someone was chosen and paid.
