QoL Improvements!

22 hours since ship and here are some improvements to make life easier and have a more comfy experience.

  • Textarea (or input) now allow pressing “Enter” to submit the message. This behavior can be avoided if you press “Shift” while pressing enter to just input a new line.
  • Scroll area added to chat section. If the message list were about ~10 messages, the page broke itself. Now a scrollarea was added, all messages is pushed to this component and the scroll is managed inside this area, no more ugly overflows.

Also, when a new message is created, the scroll is automatic to match the bottom of the area.

  • System prompt fine-tunned. (expect this for a period of time, i need to find the best match)

Everything is live, so you can test it and comment feedback!

Last step!

A lot of progress for only 36min of work. But, I changed the UI to be more “modern” or “pretty”.
Added a system prompt when you have no messages (and hide it)
Added the onClick function for the reset button (now it works)

Working on the final README and ready to ship!!!

There is an AI now!!

From last devlog, I implemented AI (with session history) and changed the UI acording with feedback.
History is fully local and it’s saved on session storage, so, when you close the browser, the chat clears. Also, the UI isn’t the best, it’s just for testing, I will be trying new styles after this and then ship it.

Front-end almost finished, it has a look I like and there is only a few touches left to do. After this, I will start to add the backend and ship it!
