the title says it all. it’ll be a boss-rush sort of thing, and won’t feature jumping :D

today i added a slight freezeframe and color change to the boss when you hit it.
I also made the bosshealth ui appear and look cool woo hoo
it’s almost ready for shipping/playtesting 🎉

I added some boss health ui (will eventually be hidden until boss start :))
i also rebalanced some stuff, but i still need to make sure health is good, shake isn’t exessive and so on. overall, a pretty productive day

i got some sort of janky state system with the boss dashing, walking towards you and a smash attack!! the smash attack is WAY to easy to dodge right now, so that’s probably what i’ll fix next time. attached is my progress so far

this in no way reflects the final intended product lol it took forever to get to this point

(and after it does the smash attack, he disappears forever lol)

I made the boss follow the player now! it also hurts you too! boss attacks coming soon!!

attached is a video demo of the boss following the player, dodge rolling through it. and also failing to time the roll and getting hurt. enjoy

I’m working on the first boss!! it will walk around, slash at you, and have a dash attack. funcionality coming soon™. the video is the current code I have, most of this time was spent brainstorming the boss though

I worked on the dodge roll! I made it so you can’t slash while rolling.

I then added the first enemy! say hello to (drum roll please……)

Jerry the Slab™!

he teleports you to 0, 0 when you collide with him (ooh magical powers) and you can dodge roll right through him (sneaky ninja…)

I switched sliding to a dodge roll! I added some stuff like you can’t switch direction mid-roll and you can’t roll if you aren’t moving. it fits to the theme MUCH better lol. right now however it is a cartwheeling rectangle, witness for yourself:

I finished making the attack! next are enemies or a training dummy or boss (haven’t decided yet)

currently, you can attack up, left and right, and you can’t while sliding.
