I built a game which is my second GODOT project but its been a while since my first one, it was a very fun project, the hardest part was make the scripts work together as sometimes scripts had other functions after free() but they didn’t run . I had to figure everything out , tutorials helped a lot a lot , but I had to use ai for dragon and blaze sprite, just that. I loved making the project cause I love minecraft, hope you like it THANKYOU!!
I completed the game finally,it was a very big task
this time i added all the audios and sound effects in the game some ui, ux update, and some play around with the difficulty of the game
all the sfx , block breaking, placing, dragon, blaze evrything
also added an endscene to the game it’s so funny , i am so funny,i suggest you play my game and find out
i had to play the game probably like 20 times today

second devlog today as yester no devlog, the game is turning out fine, and have been polishing the basic mechanics
this time i added the bow and arrow to kill the dragon, also fixed the dragon animation it was not flipping on the otherside when moving, i fixed the label ux problem the diamonds were not being shown when you get out of nether, and added another label for the blaze rod and connected them to the the game manager ,
maybe more 10 hours of finishing and my game will be ready

fixed some things and added some new things, i am trying to go by the game and add features to make it better and complete lastly i will complete the end
i fixed the pause menu now it works with no problem
i added a mining animation it was a pain to add it really tiring ,
i added a message system that gives message in game and hints
adding the message system was easy becaause of the learning i got from this project

I am trying to finish the overworld and nether part of the game so adding final mechanics,the end part is the boss fight which i am working on but its not that great yet , Yesterday i was not able to devlog cause i worked late and i devlog at night,so i thought i would do it in morning
i added the gamemanager that counts the diamond and blaze rods and added condition required to got to the portal like you need 20 diamonds to go to nether and 6 blaze rods to come back to overworld
i will be shipping the project after finishing some things and update it on and on

as i said i wanted to add a boss fight i added ender dragon who throws dragonball(lol), it has the same code as the fire ball of blaze, when i trided adding the ender dragon cause i got both the assets blaze and enderdragon together from same website their names were same so it caused a error and i was unable to think at that time what it was caused by and deleted end file and nether blaze script and setup it again clean, i also add the dynamic hearth damage system that was not first working, and a lot of trimming and updated here and i just need to connect the overworld,nether and end with portals and quests

A lot of the work was done today, and as always a lot of addition to the game
I added a new enemy blaze that fires fireball to kill player just like mimecraft , setting up the health system for the player was tricky cause of many different scens using different collision layers, i also end dimention though a lot of work is remaining in there, i need to add quests and also i will add a boss fight

SO , i fixed all the problems that were caused and made a ton of progress since then, the fixing of the problems took lot of time and i had to drop some ideas,
i added background layer, with different collision layer, added a scoring system that yet does not work i dont understand why , probably cause the tutorials had different versions but will fix that i added nether in a different scene and will find a way to combine them ,during devlog i forgot what i had worked on lol, i will also add end and some boss fight , i have ideas but thy are difficult to proceed but i will definietly try

my game is no longer working correctly, i have been trying to fix things , actully i even thought lost my scripts i dont yet fully understand how scripts work but they were just there and i linked two scripts to one node that are doing same things but with different processes, i dont have nothing to put in the files for devlog ,
i tried making a pause ment it worked that was a nice thing today
today actually me previous ship got rejected cause of some error so i had to resubmit it taking a lot of time out of my day
i had bewn watching tutorials too to do all those things, and i showed you destroy mechanics like minecraft i will add break_time to that
we will come back stronger, dogoos!!

i added hearts (that do not yet work are not dynamic yet just texture) , i had to change my landscape to set portal at the end and also changed controls to be wsad instead of arrow keys,added anothey layer of tilelayer and made lava that resets the game, will be working on respawn option and death menu, i added mine craft like mechanics of breaking and placing blocks, it took a lot of debugging,made snowy mountain where i will place the end portal, remember the lava it also took a lot of time to understand that i had to setup two or even more layers to setup that,
also improved jump mechanics when space is just pressed it jumps low if pressed long jumps high

i have started to create overworld environment,the house , a lake, a nether portal,etc. added the main menu of the game with interactable buttons , i took insiration from minecraft’s main menu but did not completely copied it, i used a minecraft font for the minecraft 2d text from internet,

i added animation to my character and also added controls, i will not be using any ai in this project i used https://youtu.be/5ZTUDwpzxH0?si=fU6Gs7O9MXxTal3Q this tutorial to set controls and make character face the direction it walks in, but i have to fix . that my character snaps back to looking in right as soon as i release left arrow key
