Shipped this project!

I have shipped Phyzzle, which is my physics based puzzle game where you can move boxes around by rotating the world. You use mechanics like that to solve 5 puzzles. There are sound effects and there is a main menu with a level select screen! it is out on ithc.io right now. This was my first time making a menu so that was the most challenging part but also the part I am most proud of because I did it!

Devlog #3 (FINAL)
Hello, this is the last devlog of this game because it is out now on Itch.io! I am shipping it today but without further ado here is what I added this time. I added 5 levels, many sounds, and fixed some of the bugs with the menus and completion system. I didn’t make great pixel art so I decided just to make it have nice colors. There is full functionality on the level select screen now as well. Anyways, I did add an easter egg in the previous devlog so read that one to know the secret code!
Features Added:

  • 5 Levels
  • Lots of SFX
  • Functional level Selection Screen
  • Itch.io Release
  • Bug Fixes (Only last level would not show when completed, SFX bugged out, main menu would not show correct text, moving between levels would cause changes in if you completed the level)

Devlog #2:
Hello, in this devlog I added a main menu, a level select menu, and some more features. I started with the UI buttons then made the scripts for the changing of levels. Then I created the main menu and updated the changing level script to account for this. All of the buttons in the images below work except the last 3 level buttons because I haven’t made those yet. I did actully speed up the rotation of the world too. The most exiting thing I made was an Easter Egg. So if you want to unlock that then press all of the keys in “Hackclub” at the same time in the main menu to se the secret message!
Features Added:

  • Main Menu
  • New UI Buttons
  • Level Select Screen
  • Easter Egg #1
  • Text under the level to show when you completed it with effects!.
  • Bug Fixes (EX: Rotation of the world would go wrong direction, menu buttons failed, completion of level wouldn’t save properly.)

Devlog #1:
I added smoother rotation when you rotate the whole world, more interactive elements, and more. The most difficult part of this devlog was the smooth rotation. I could not for the life of me figure it out but I did eventually do it. I added a button which is essentially a toggleable lever. I know I said I would create some art for this devlog but I did not sadly :[. Anyways, The rotation effect is cool (Although I might speed it up more), and I also want to point out there is a finish now and when you reach it after solving the puzzles, a restart level button and next level button pop up for you to click! Alright see you in the next one and thanks for reading, your awesomesauce.
Features Added:

  • Smooth Rotation of the World
  • A Toggleable Button
  • A Finish Area
  • Restart and Next Level Buttons
  • Updated System for Adding Interactables (like the button)
  • Fixed Some Bugs (EX: Wall glitches, rotation spamming and ruining it, and player movement and camera desynchronizing).

Devlog #0:
I made the movement, rotating of the world, and some interaction like pressure plates, doors, and a lever! I worked on it a lot for this first devlog just to “Lock-In” (The Sidequest) Anyways, I think this game is going to use gravity for the puzzles in the way the video shows. I also added a removeable box. While its there the plus shaped box is trapped so it must be deactivated by a lever or something. In the next one I will make some levels and maybe start the menus/buttons. I haven’t done any art yet so the picture might be a bit bland but next time there will be!
Features Added:

  • Movement (Snappy)
  • Rotating the World
  • Lever
  • Pressure Plate
  • Secure Box (To keep gravity affected plus out of trouble)
  • Door
