The clock works! yayayay its also finnaly changing to late and night clocks when i want it to so i think we need to move on to some other mechaisms im proably going to do serving dishes so ill need to make some art and make a layout of the restrant ahhhh scary but we can do it! im also really happy because im kinda getting more of a grip on how to code! (atachments are all layers for just 2 of my clocks :3

you guys will never guess but i was playing the wrong scene??? i dodnt know how i created another scene but its working now so the clock is showing how i want it to just gotta make it spin now!

you always think you got something done but working forward is also working backwards the clocks arent even showing now but i can tell what phase of day it is to turn clocks on and off heres some code hopefully an pdate soon with working clocks we are getting there

managed to make a clock or time as me friend said it should be called that lets player take track of the day time i still need to make the late and night time clocks but the animation is figured out so im very happy im a bit worried if the game is played in a difrent screen size that it might break but i dont want to worry about that right now i am going to upload it to itch.io to see how its working in there there isnt any real game mechanics bit you can look their for updates as ill try to update it every other devlog https://regular-bug.itch.io/canabal-cafe thats the link hopefuly ill get it working soon :D

took a bit of a break but we are now back in action i created a day/night cycle for the game and went though some posible mechisms with friends including a health meeter and cooking mechisms (theres more but not ready to be worked on yet) durring my break i flushed out posible stories and decided to have a reworking of all the artwork so hopefully updating it soon yay going to work right now on making a clock to help players track time yay

A simple mechanism took me a whole hour to fix TwT when the player enters the range of the blue circle (shown below) a text buble should pop up saying press E to interact or something like that im tired its late. I wanted it to turn on when the player came close and turn off when the player was far but the NPC (currently not drawn just a placeholder) was activating the circle so i had to edit my code to something much smaller and simpliar so im happy some tables have been placed ill proably go back to drawing next to take a break but thats a tomorrow problem

tables were added working on trying to make an interactable npc at the moment codes confusing me rignt now but im taking a break then getting back to it.

we have walking animations for my silly for left and right we also now have the right idol kinda choppy but whatever (right walk sprites attached)

I was able to get movement fixed so the program now reconizes wich of the eight directions the player moves in. sadly that means i have to animate 8 difrents sprites woe is me. I am very happy with the progress and somewhat mad that its inability to switch was a minor spelling error. I also was able to make the placement walls colliadable (i think thats the word) so the player cant walk through em now yippeeee (new added code pictured bellow yep i used a lot of if else statements TwT)

idk how to track time spent on sprites and gneral stuff but we got the front sn bsck of the player sprite so im happy about that yay trying to get the sprite to be the frount when the charector moves forward and be to the back when it goes backwards once we get this maybe we can work on some other mechanichs im excited to do

I have crashed godot 6 times now…and i just started i might have to take a break on the code to work on story line and art hopefully godot fixes itself if not i might be doomed TwT
