Today I was very busy on working on Ratsaurante*! Mostly with making it look pretty before I get to the tricky part of coding.
I made some pizza assets to hopefully use later on in the game - uncooked and cooked variants of cheese, pepperoni, vegetable, and (controversially) ham and pineapple.
I also created the tilemap for what should hopefully be the game’s main map! I decided to add the sewer exterior to reference the other rat-related game I made. I don’t know what I’ll do with it just yet - maybe an easter egg of sorts.
I added movement (I had the animations before, but I needed to link that to actually moving left/right/up/down) and appropriate collisions to the tilemap.
The main ‘Chef Rat’ is now called Jesse. It felt right.

*I’m considering changing the name to Ratsaurant. When I made it, I thought the ‘e’ on the end made it look fancy - but some thinking made me realise that it doesn’t really make sense.
