Feedback Update!

hello everyone! got the feedback from the last ship and there are some things I want to clear up, since a few points didn’t land the way I expected partly because not everyone plays multiplayer mc, which is totally fair.


so what even is this mod?

this is a Quality of Life mod for a specific gamemode on the Hypixel Minecraft Server. think of it like the Skyblock Addons mod. dedicated players use it because it improves their experience. it’s packed with features, (yes, that’s intentional a QoL mod is supposed to be that way).

one of the “very technical” features is KoTH Protector (KoTH stands for King of the Hill), where the goal is to stay on the “hill” the longest without dying. there’s an unofficial rule in this housing: don’t kill at KoTH and you won’t be killed, so most players comfortably AFK or multitask there. this feature enforces that by alerting you and nearby mod users if someone attacks you at KoTH. Ktrack goes further! it tracks frequent griefers, has a heatmap, and warns you when known griefers show up again.

-# fun fact! at the time of posting this, 178 unique individuals have been marked as frequent griefers (multiple damage events)


usability note

unfortunately, this requires a PC and a Minecraft Java account to play on Hypixel (it is a mod made for Hypixel after all)
but once you’re set up, using the mod itself is easy! just drop the .jar into the mod folder of the fabric instance and you’re done. no installation script, no need for you to build the mod or set it up beyond auth and toggling what features you want off (most are on by default)


addressing other feedback

“it does too much stuff” that’s by design! It’s a dedicated QoL mod, and once you’re actually playing on the housing it supports, every feature matters* (with some exceptions subject to law 15 U.S.C. § 45). I get that it can look overwhelming from the help command tho.

“the use of AI is a little high” I forgot to update that, the percentage shown was from when the project was much smaller. it’s lower now, and I’m less washed in Java!

(shoutout to the 5 other MC mods I’m working on that will probably never see the light of day unless i get a month of free time)

“more devlogs / inconsistent devlog / not using markdown “ fair point, I’ll be more consistent going forward in the next 2 days, and woah I used md in this one!

“readme is too condensed” working on expanding it and updating it.

“no video demo” also on the list I’ll be making a demo video that walks through all the features one by one.

what I’m working on now

  • finishing the routes addon, since the new routes update dropped, I’m working on helpers for most of the routes!

  • adding support for versions 1.21.4 through 1.21.1 this needs heavy codebase restructuring because Mojang and Fabric love changing things for no reason and then reverting them for no reason. looking at you, Fabric, for removing then re-adding WorldRender events and changing chat click events out of nowhere ):<

  • demo video showcasing features individually

  • expanding the README with clearer sections and context

About the modrinth release: i was told to release it in modrinth. i did, i gave it over 2 weeks and still under review, 2 downloads from reviewers and no message no nothing. this is unexpected because usually it takes 3-4 days from my own personal experience. (in september and jan)
Due to the time crunches ill republish it again now

New features!

AutoBuy: self explanatory… use /abuy to auto buy items

Shop Alerts: alerts you before rotating shop is restocked

Borgdar: detect if there are any invis players near you (While this might be an unfair advantage in pvp or something but people cannot pvp while being invis in this housing, the detecting is just a simple fun feature to see if a staff is using an item on you or something, they can easily not be detected by the borgdar)
rps alerts to tell you which newgen killed you while you were fighting an npc over a rock paper scissors game

Trackalot:
Session ids, and tracking system for leaderboards (UPCOMING, WIP)
Track gains by session, completions, gold gained, rps games played, kills, deaths everything would be tracked. this is still Wip as tracking tons of stats from reading niche scoreboard or armorstand names is a bit annoying and unreliable. as soon as i get good at it ill release it

experimental and probably wont come out available for use publicly in the mod release (for obvious reasons): tuning gemma 4 to play the game and do a few things, it will be a showcase only. i might do some devlogs about it tho

Ok so syncord, a mc client and discord bridge!
i set up the foundation and “repurporpsed” some old code from other scrapped projects to set up the basic ramp connection
you can now chat in minecraft from your discord! *1
i added player heads and player names to the webhook and will reformat how the images are generated so it does not include the player name

*1 (as long as the client is connected ofc)

So basically this is a QoL mod for a housing in Hypixel.
what started as a simple utility for alerting you on damage in koth became a full out mod! (soon, 3-5 business days)

Long time no see! got the project restored, here are a few of the new features!

Door spirit: tells you what door is correct by sharing results with other mod users, it syncs the doors state with the backend server so its always up to date with the current correct door
Trap avoider: warns you when users are positioned near the activation area of the trap regions 

Mayhemblast: plays an alert sound when the mayhem event happens, goes into fullscreen if you are recently active (i made the alert sound, i cooked so hard note block studio crashed on me, take a listen! warning its loud!

AutoRejoin now handles limbo specifically

also fixed the mod to make it work with newer updates of the housing itself, and a few issues with auth. and a few bugs like modusers list not working (for some reason)
and a 50/50 chance in the backend for the rps games to be truncated to 2000 when a player reaches 2000 games (dont ask me how i messed up that bad, i made that at like 4am and it was supposed to be for the website version of the game history only ;-;)

Unfortunately i forgot about logging this project, but here is a BIG devlog about the 0.9 early access release!
here’s a list of most of the features!

Auth - links Minecraft and discord w a code and authenticates the user on the backend server which allows them access to the other features!

Autorejoin - Ever get kicked by some random ahh reason? not anymore with this feature!*1 (i hope)
auto rejoins to the housing

Autorps - do you HATEE playing rock paper scissors?? who does tho
anyways this plays rps for you

Bootlist - show your collection of boots to others to show many hours you have put down for a few pixels in a housing in a server in a block game.

Koth++ - ever hate it when your in koth and then some newbie comes in tries to kill for a minute and then you realize 3 hours of collecting money is down the drown? well koth++ protects the user by sending an alert when they are dead or out of koth!

Ktrack - a “dlc” to koth++ that allows you to share a list of koth killers and a heatmap with other mod users, so when you and other modusers are staying in koth and then a newbie comes and attacks you will be alerted when they come close!

rps - share your game statistics of rps to us and we will have our trusty server analyze the previous games to provide you the best move to play with rps! they say its 1/3 but is it really?
(not really trusty the backend server is running on duct tape and prayers idek how its been running this long)

statspy - if your afk and someone spammed stat checkers on you, when you come back the mod will tell you!

unwrap - so when ur in the road and you want to get out to leaderboards or something get this pesky “yOU CanNot BE On tHe rOAD” message? well we got a wizard that will teleport you right out!

/quest - why click 2 times in a menu to view your quests when you can type out this command!

/shop - why click THREE times in a menu to access the shop when you can type out this command!

This WAS the basis of the project and it was left with a few minor tweaks and improvements till jan when i decided to work alot more on it and turn it into a fully fledged mod.

A King of the Hill tracker that would alert players on death
it hooked in to the titles being sent to the client, and based on that it would know if the player entered KoTH, or died. and send an alert thru discord webhooks on player entry/death
it was pretty basic but the idea was there
