For Level 6 I’m doing somewhat of a roblox obby lol but i noticed i have to rework the whole Dead -> revive system because when i drop down in level 6 i get spawned like 20 meters behind the platform in a infinite loop (why raa), I also had to create a material instance for every color i use (pain), idk if there’s any better way… I’m just doing a devlog now so i can part this from the respawn system because thats gonna take a looong time.

I finished the level, just gotta add textures but i cant rn because my pc is brutally getting fried (It’s building the light, i got like 2-5 FPS R.I.P.) + i finally accomplished it to make the sky continously so there isnt a line and then just black void, thats not looking nice. For the end of the special level i added the typical platform, some niagara effects (holy brain overload) and ofc Congrats!, note for myself: I gotta add the portal else no one is going to level 6 ;), i think I’ma do ten levels, level ten will explode my pc byebye

I added more stuff on one of the other side of the pyramids, only one left (this one gotta go up) and i also have to think of something to put on top, i had to change the texture of the pyramid because it was literally not a Parcour game anymore it was a GPU benchmark and for me weak ahhh pc basically not useable (pf), I’ma add the other site and then this level is finished, then I’ll hopefully finally get to designing the character. (i also redesigned a bit of stuff because of textures, etc. and collisions.) Thats it for now :3

I began working on Level 5. I made it more special than the other levels (idk why, maybe 10 gets also special) so i did a huuuge map and put a fat triangle/pyramid in the mid, it took years to get everything properly sized. I think i will put a way up on every side of the pyramid and overwrite the styling of the pyramid because its a bit weird/this game literally gets a GPU benchmark when developing. Thats it for today, bye :3 (maybe I’ll fiy the sky sphere)

I textured everything in Level 3 and added another stack of stairs so it looks better (they dont have any use), I also got myself some Wood thingys from an open marketplace for Level 4, (i also finished level 4 - video) and Level 5 is going to be something special i think, still gotta collect some ideas. - Edit: why isnt my picture of the texturing uploaded raaaaaaa

I fixed a bit more of the Checkpoint system, it should automatically set your default Checkpoint to 1 now so you dont bug in the void forever :) I also created the third Level (this one took wayyy to long but its harder now) and I also created the new file for Level 4 and organizied the structure a bit. I’ma also gonna add Textures to the level now but thats not as hard as blueprints bye for now :3

Did some progress today, I finally added the die -> respawn system, it’s not working 100% but at least i dont have to restart the game every time i fail, I also repaired the grass texture which was a bit too huge/zoomed in at the spawn, another problem is that you have to jump in lvl 2 so your checkpoint saves because the portal instantly sends you in the checkpoint which leads to the checkpoint not recognizing the player. I’ll make Level 3 now or later, idk :3

This is the beginning of level 3, I’ma have to fix the sky a bit because that looks weird, I also tried making the project shippable without admin rights needed but thats a bit harder ig, i failed :o, There is also the portal to level 3 now, also gonna implement the die -> respawn system tomorrow but it’s late and school begins soon… GB :3

I added a second level with a Checkpoint at the end of it, made it ‘rusty’ style with sum tubes and random objects. I think I’ll customize the character next or add a level with grapling hooks, idk

Sooo, long devlog. I added a Checkpoint and Portal system, gave some objects textures and added some more objects. When you walk trough the golden burning gold plate you get teleported to the next Level. (I’ll do that soon and it gets other themes). It took me years to somehow get the Blueprints done, but it works now. I also have to add a die -> respawn at checkpoint system soon so checkpoints are actually useful. (had to compress video bcs it’s too big)

I began with the Parcour, at the moment I’m only using the Starter Materials from Unreal Engine but I think thats also kinda cool when you have like benches, doors and huge rocks to jump on, maybe I’ll add a history on how that happened so it kind of gets a story. I will also have to do a lot of stuff in Camera Movement/Settings, Character Customization and Textures.
