I’m shipping a charcoal theme for the spicetown chrome extension. This theme overhauls the entire UI of flavortown to look as if you burnt your food.
Being inexperienced with css and only having a bit of javascript knowledge, I was mostly relying on interpreting existing code so I can write my own.
I’m making a website as my next project, so hopefully I can use some of what I learnt
To install the file I linked as the demo, click the link and download the file (must be on a chromium browser). Then drag the crx file into chrome://extensions.
Once you’ve done that, you should find a “themes” tab in flavortown, where you can enable the charcoal theme.
Updated readme with installation instructions, themed the music player, themed the progress bar in the shop

Finished up the shop theming
Solved a problem where a piece of my css would break gradients in other themes
Made a charcoal theme. Almost fully implemented, next update I’ll probably grayscale the voting page and the shop
I’m making the stylesheet and components in figma

Figma wakatime isn’t working and none of the alternatives are allowed. I’ll either pause work on this until it’s fixed or work on it outside flavortown, and just have the code hackatimed.
