I have started work on building the town now, I tried using illustrator to make my work easy but turns out illustrator doesn’t work with CSS as i thought it would. So, to stick with the “pure CSS” format of the whole project I have no other option but to do every little object by code. I have made the road for the first town and the sky with a few mountains. I hope to finish the background tomorrow so i can work on adding the houses.

the first part of the project is complete aka the home screen. Here in this screen the viewer will be able to view either the town or learn more about the town. I also recently discovered that I can convert a abode illustrator file directly into a css file so I’ll be using that more for the actual town. I have also just decided to use the css scale property to resize it for different screens.

the home screen for the website is coming along. I wanted a home screen where the viewer can click to know more about the website or go visit the town. The first pic is the concept of what the home screen SHOULD look like and the second is my progress. Yes, I made everything in css and it is gonna be a huge mess with different screen sizes and just extremely painful to make but its actually fun for me. (I do have a bit of a idea on how I can tackle the screen size problem while strictly staying on html and css but I am open to ideas if anyone has any.)

I made a github repository for the website and hosted a pages site. I also went to google gemini to get some reference images for the type of website I’m building. Overall the images were great and gave me enough idea to start working. I will officially start the project from tomorrow.
