my first “engine” of any sort. ai was used heavily since i am unfamiliar with many concepts. i did learn a lot and the engine is not too bad but i do have some ideas on how to improve it!

updated workflows to work on windows and linux. still untested but hopefully it works. also update readme to show these new instructions.

i have done a bit of work with a good deal of assistance from ai tools. this project is mostly to learn hence why i picked an easier game like connect four now. (get it connect four + for now).

it has both a gui and cli, cli has more features so use that.

  • decided to redo it entirely since i’ve learnt some better coding practices too

moved jump to x and made the up arrow look up.

setup godot since it’s my first* time using it
watched some tutorials
figured out how to make movement

i do want to still tune the values to be more comfortable but that’s a trial and error thing

added a settings menu with placeholder content for now. mainly just working on fleshing out the UI.
