i can’t lie idk what’s going on but it’s kinda working so who cares amr

  • got all my images onto the website
  • none of the buttons work yet BUT IM GETTING THERE I SWEAR
  • basically just figured out css ish, but now i gotta do js
  • the board is centered on the browser hooray!! (this took me like an hr)

-i ended up adding ghost pieces and it was actually a lot easier than I thought
-most of the time logged this time was figuring out and debugging my attempts at making this website (i have no idea what I’m doing)

  • made my pygame version!!
    • it ended up not being as difficult as i thought it’d be
  • overall make everything look a lot better visually (drew more assets) in this version
  • considering adding like ghost pieces (like a translucent piece to show where your piece will be when you hover over) or i might do that in the html/js version i wanna do depends on how motivated i feel

uhhh honestly idk what im doing haha

Originally, this was gonna be something for school but after reading the rules I’ve realized that’s not allowed lol… So I’m gonna finish my school requirements but then try and recreate it in first Pygame and then maybe?? HTML/Javascript and (fingers-crossed) make this into like a web browser game for me and my friends [to play during class…]. I’ve never done this before, so maybe this is a stupid idea but wtvr let’s see what happens.

holy yap ok so rn it’s pretty bare bones i just finished resizing my pixel art (worst experience of my life) and then got the placing pieces down part of it working. now i gotta do the win condition and learn how pygame works…
