The Problem: Robotics require high-speed data logging and instant access to AI models. Standard SD cards create bottlenecks that cause “lag” in a robot’s decision-making and often fail under vibration or heavy use.
The Solution: Building a high-performance core using a Samsung 990 PRO NVMe. By flashing the OS directly to the SSD and optimizing the PCIe lane, I’ve created a storage architecture that can handle 4K camera feeds and ROS2 (Robot Operating System) nodes simultaneously.
The Tech: Full system flash via NVIDIA SDK Manager, custom bootloader configuration, and thermal management to ensure the “brain” stays cool during intense robotic maneuvers.
