the site is ready to ship!

I polished up a few things inc. the structure of the site itself, the map and globe part have been moved up with the starred projects moved down and i think this change in organization is very very welcome in helping everything feel more complete!

a few images weren’t rendering properly so i added those for projects as well. i tried to make the tools carrousel more cohesive and think i did an alright job at doing so

overall, making this website has been really fun and i am really proud of it!

almost done! the where i’ve been and things i’ve built sections have been revamped; and the bento grid looks much more lively now

A lot more content + fun ux! I would like to highlight this map in particular since it took a very long time to try and make; essentially it’s a map of American States / Canadian provinces i’ve visited but took a while since I not only wanted a map but also have it be easily updatable via a yaml file so this isn’t a static image and states can be toggled visted / off with a simple one line switch in the code

A complete rewrite! Well, almost… the old design was feeling too flat and I didn’t like the direction it was heading. My primary inspirations lay root in a few sites, primarily: aconlin.com, evangan.com, hackclub.com, beta.hackclub.com, magazine.hackclub.com, github.com/acornitum/magazine, 2025.treehacks.com. Almost all of which were made by hack clubbers! I like the Parallax effect from the TreeHacks Website and tried to make that but in space. I like space quite a bit and Artemis ii has really piqued my intrest, so the stars and planets try and imitate that. This is also so much nicer imo with a more fluid and modern design. I added a color selector on the top left but got pretty much unanimous feedback that it looks too vibe coded because of the glow :noo: so i;ll need to fix that. the thought process behind it was that the glow will increase the chance of the user trying to interact with it and hover and change the accent color

It’s been a while, this is a retroactive Devlog. I have made changes to many of the subpages and added a few things. Looking at it now, I’m not sure I like the direction this website is heading and will rework it, but will Stay with Astro / Sass

Added my website to flavortown! a lot of time was spent on this before the start of flavortown and isn’t counted for time but i’m excited to expand on the complete rewrite of my personal website!
