Code Without Crying

14 devlogs
44h 3m 3s

This is a slow, no-pressure coding project where I learn and explain one small programming topic a day, starting with HTML and CSS. Everything is written in a casual, easy-to-read way with simple examples, bad jokes, and zero “textbook energy.” The goal is to make coding feel normal instead of scary — short lessons, clear ideas, and no brain overload.

This project uses AI

AI have been used to fix my grammers and spelling or just my language.Used ai models are gpt free and deepseek.

Shipped this project!

I built this pahe so that I don’t have to cry learning how to code but I got kinda bored doing this Ig it will be my final ship probably you will see me in next project or a game

A new lesson is live.
The title is exactly what you see in the image. If it makes sense, congratulations, you still have brain cells.
The physics exam happened.
It consumed most of my remaining cognitive resources. Any delay you noticed can be blamed directly on that event.
Despite this, progress continues. The plan is still to wrap up the HTML lessons soon, then move on to CSS.
Unless my brain decides it has had enough, in which case anything from CSS to GDScript is possible.
No promises. Just steady, slightly damaged forward motion.

Added a new lesson on HTML Text Formatting.
Life happened interrupted, but I made text fancy anyway. Updates coming when brain cooperates.

Writing while barely functioning. Bugs? Issues? GitHub knows.

Tried implementing a new card design today - completely broke the layout. Turns out my brain’s HTML parser crashed after a coding break. Spent 30 minutes debugging a simple content div overflow issue - CSS was silently judging me the whole time. Lesson learned: when design rebels, paragraphs always win. Back to basics, but with better humor and battle scars.

Added a new lesson on HTML Headings.
Quick update before my brain melts: the devlogs is late and the project stuck due to my exams. Real life decided to spawn a boss fight, so progress slowed a bit. Stay tuned though, I’ll get the project back on track after 2–3 days once exams stop bullying me.
Tomorrow there’s probably another lesson update coming. If things works, I might redesign stuff, but if not I’ll just push a new lesson and call it a win. Small steps still count.
I’m aiming for a new lesson everyday, so fingers crossed. Writing this devlog in a hurry, so don’t mind if something feels off or the grammer hurts your eyes. If you find any bugs or issues, feel free to mention them on GitHub issues.

Time tracking mystery: Worked 3 hours, dev log shows 1:15. 1 hour and 45 minutes officially disappeared into the coding void. New lesson posted anyway - hopefully less confusing than my time management.

Shipped this project!

We shipped the website 🚢 (somehow)

This is my first actual website.
I’ve only made random web pages before, nothing that deserved to be called a project.

This is also the least-AI-used page I’ve ever made.
No vibe coding. For the first time I actually sat down, struggled, and learned something real.

It’s not complete yet.
There are only 2 lessons for now, but everything works, and the framework is in place.
If this gets accepted, I’ll add more lessons later. Updating and maintaining it shouldn’t be painful (famous last words).

Right now, I just want to check if the project is eligible or not.
If yes, I’ll push it further.

Anyway… first project of my life.
Hopefully this ship doesn’t sink immediately.

I made some major changes and refactored both lessons. There’s more useful information now and less garbage.

Made the first lesson.
Also mobile-optimized it, because future me will definitely open this on a phone at 2 a.m. and complain if it breaks.
Desktop works, mobile works, nothing explodes (yet). Calling this a win.

Did some questionable but necessary work today.
Built a template, added a contributors.md, and locked in designs for future lesson elements.
Basically made a master copy-paste sheet so contributors can paste freely without nuking the entire template.
Lessons are finally on the way, so stay tuned.
Now I’m checking contributor rules for the HC team… not even sure contributors are allowed yet, but hey, preparation counts.

Completed How I Will Approach and How This Project Works. The approach focuses on building step-by-step, keeping things simple, and fixing problems as they appear (which they always do). The project works by combining basic web technologies and a lot of trial and error. Features are built, tested, broken, and rebuilt until they finally behave. Progress is slow, but at least now it’s documented.

Devlog Update (Probably Need Help)

Probably the bug is still alive and ignoring all logic.
works on pc but not on mobile
The 9 hours were real time, but inflated due to missing project connections.
The mistake was in the Flavourtown project, not tracking tools.
Missing folder wires + laziness = confusing timeline.

Summary:
Probably messed up the project wiring, probably angered the code gods, and definitely didn’t fake anything. The bug is still undefeated. If someone can help, please help before.

No idea why it works now, but it does. And as programmers say, if it works, don’t touch it—so I’m keeping it exactly as it is.

A X O S

Updated the homepage; laptop crashed 3 times and power cut 2 times like a boss fight.
Added a Lessons page that works unless you blink too hard.
About and How It Works are postponed to a mythical future version of me.
Added a card id and the entire site lost its mind.
In summary: I have no roadmap, only chaos. The code hates me, the laptop fears me, and I’m fixing bugs by staring at the screen in silence and hoping it feels guilty enough to work.

Just added the Homepage.
Next up: building a Table of Contents page so people actually know where they’re going.

After that, I’ll tackle the lesson template, which—according to my current optimism—should be a piece of cake.
(History suggests the cake may be a lie.)

Anyway, progress is progress.
More commits incoming.
Stay tuned. 😄
