Hello guys

Implemented a simulated BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) and Partially developed the desktop home screen with Apps.

Designed the layout with a full-screen blue background and system-style error text to capture the authentic retro aesthetic.

Added a basic trigger so the screen can appear as a system state within the UI flow. In parallel, began building the desktop environment, including the main desktop container and initial icon layout.

Added a Windows XP–style welcome screen

Not directly replicating XP. i added my creativity a little bit and designed the welcome screen

Built the layout using structured HTML sections (top banner, user selection area, and bottom system bar) to mirror the original XP login screen.

Implemented gradient backgrounds and Microsoft-style color blocks to recreate the nostalgic XP visual identity

XP.EXE Compromised System Begins!

Hey everyone,

I decided to start building a Web OS, so I spent some time researching how these systems are structured and how to set up the project properly.

What I did today

  • Researched the concept and architecture of a Web OS
  • Set up the project environment
  • Created and structured the initial project folder
  • Built the primary HTML page for the system

Next steps

  • Design the desktop interface
  • Add interactive components using JavaScript
