CivicAlert is an Android application developed by Deafop Kenya designed to improve inclusive disaster preparedness and community resilience. It enhances safety by providing early warning information and strengthening risk awareness, with the latest version available as of March 2026. CivicAlert is an anonymous reporting platform that allows citizens to safely report local issues such as road damage, public safety concerns, and infrastructure problems. It empowers people to raise their voice without revealing their identity, reducing fear and encouraging honest reporting. By creating a simple and secure way to share problems, CivicAlert helps build more transparent, responsive, and better-managed communities.
I came up with this idea while reflecting on the problems occurring around me, and I have built it. For debugging purposes, I used Vibe Codon.
