Creating a calculator using Javascript with CSS styling I themed this calculator as Sanrio ! In the future, I want to make this project more aesthetically pleasing and add a square root function.
I built a Sanrio themed calculator that performs the basic 4 functions of a calculator. I made this out of spite that I couldn’t take AP computer science this year as a sophomore in high school–I will be taking it next year and AP cybersecurity my senior year. The most challenging part was adding button functionality that wasn’t html based since that is what I’m used to doing when creating websites! This definitely leveled up my programming skills by opening a new window on how I create websites! I’m proud that it works at all. In the future, I would be inclined to add more functionality to the calculator.
Since I couldn’t take a computer science class this year due to how credits are structured at my high school, I decided to create one of the projects they do in AP computer science by myself! It was challenging as I had to figure out the onclick function and link the script part to javascript. Once I figured that out I was able to create a functioning calculator.
