Updated Project: This is an update to a project I made for Summer of Making last summer called Tamerine AI. It was a python project that translated speech to text, asked chatgpt, then changed the text responce to audio. I’m changing this to use Hack Club AI and renaming it. It is a frsh repo but will be baced on the old (and shitty) code from the SOM Project!

This project uses AI

Github Copilot was used for mild debugging and help with PyPi publishing!

AI was used in the orignial Tamberine AI README.md and i forgot to change title formatting (content is new) - sorry for confussion shipwrights!

I built a TTS audio chatbot in python powered by Hack Club AI. The hardest part was proberbly making it save your api key in appdata and making speech_recognition work better that on the SOM project (tamrebrine ai)!

Maraca AI is now published on PyPi. This was a pain beacuse my API key for pypi is on another laptop so I had to make a new one. Funnn!

In this time I fixed some bugs in the code, published on github, preped the file structure to publish on PyPi and finally made a function to place your API key in a folder in AppData/Local. This means after entering it once your key will be saved for everytime you run it!

So I kinda forgot to devlog. I’ve made the bulk of the project and now I just need to fiddle with functions and TSS engines. It works very well! I’m not sure what else to add other than a full GUI.
