Just a html form with css styling and some javascript. I mainly focused on making this project as “complete” as possible, meaning that I implemented everything I wanted to implement with zero compromise. I learnt a lot about the intricacies about forms while making this, and another benefit is that I can use this project as a foundation for forms in future projects (ex: a hackathon project). I really like how this turned out looks-wise as well, and on an unrelated note this also marks the day that I began reading the chainsaw man manga (my first manga ever).

Yeah so ummm, the form verifications were in fact not done. But they are now! I added an error message to the U.I. that specifies what exactly is preventing the form from submitting if there are any issues with the user inputs, and I added some styling to visually highlight the error-ing fields. I also edited the text to be more themed and less generic. I’m happy with how this project turned out (for now, maybe I’ll return to it in the future, or use a modified version in a future project), and I’ll be shipping it today.

I basically finished it. I’m satisfied with the layout/design, all form verifications have been implemented (I did this today) , and I added credits to the background and logo art (I also did this today). But it is 12:44 in the morning right now, and I have school tomorrow, so I’ll deal with making a GitHub repo and shipping it tomorrow (hopefully). Also please note that I did not work for 6 hours continuously on this, I’ve spent several short sessions adding things as I time permitted, this just happens to be my first actual Devlog. Also the majority of those 6 hours was me trying random things just for the sake of it 💀
