Tasky is a physical assistant designed to help overcome procrastination by turning tasks into simple, visible, and tangible actions. It combines a friendly interface with a thermal printer that generates small receipts for each task you need to complete.

Tasks can be sent through voice commands, Notion integrations, or external APIs, and are automatically converted into printed actions. Each receipt represents a clear, achievable step, reducing the friction to start and creating an immediate sense of progress.

With an expressive and approachable assistant interface, Tasky transforms task management into a more human and motivating experience, helping turn digital planning into real action.

This project uses AI

AI tools were used during the development of this project. Google Gemini was used to assist with parts of the code development and technical implementation. ChatGPT was used to help refine and write parts of the project description and documentation. AI support was used only as a development aid while the design, integration, and final implementation decisions were made by me.

After going through more than three rolls of thermal paper while testing, I finally managed to get the printer working with the Unihiker K10, establishing the printing foundation for the Tasky project.

A big part of the process involved troubleshooting the serial communication, especially configuring the correct baud rate (testing values like 9600 and 115200) until the printer and the board were able to communicate properly.

In the attached video you can see the first successful test: the printer producing the first piece of text sent from the device. This marks the first working step toward turning digital tasks into physical printed receipts for Tasky
