picturefriends turns your moments into chapters: themed photo albums for trips, events, or anything you want. Swipe through a feed, add photos from camera or gallery, and comment with friends. A photo journal meets a social feed.

Finally done!
I added to the app:
animation to cards, between pages, actions etc
added profile, settings, gallery and more

I also made sure the currently published version uses mock data so it can be tried out before i figure out how to put it on the app stores!

I’m so happy to have learned this much and have gone this far on this project.
I can easily say every objective was completed perfectly, and more!

Hello again friends!
this time i worked on some improvements.
as you can see, we now have post locations! I added the geolocalization on the camera, so that it automatically gets your position and adds it to the post.
Also, adding comments under posts is in progress.
I worked on many components around the app such as headers in every section, and started working on more small features like settings and so on.

HEYYYY!
Finally back after a lot of work.
i implemented redux for state management: posts with a crazy card layout, comments (to fix soon), authentication with user data.
also created the modal to create a chapter, and add pictures to it. almost works nice.
connected the database on my pc on postgreSQL.
so happy to have learned redux, have a lot more to fix and implement but we have a basic thing!

I managed to do authentication on the app!
I created the pages login and register, to make the user create the account and login to the app.
I did custom components to reuse in different pages, with different props passed down to them.
I created files to do layouts easily, reuse pages and add default styles to them

this looks like little little work, but i cried for DAYS to make this work on an actual simulator and i am so happy about it!

Worked on: many many configuration files, cried over broken dependencies and “pods”
learned a lot of new things, mostly crying, about mobile compiling and bundling
Now i have all configurations ready for the next steps.

Completed layout, not found, home, starting to look at navigation and so on!

I’m working on my first project! This is so exciting. I can’t wait to share more updates as I build.
