I got a working version last night! I refined the gears today because if i tried to start motor with all the gears above it, it would not start and when i put it on its side it worked. it would also create space in some places so i made caps but they can go down the poll.

added walls to housing, added the battery holder for a size c battery, added a door, and hopefully the gears work because i printed two seperate housings(one for motor and one for gears) and did not work so im printing housing 1.2, the one in video is housing 1.3, gears are level 1.2,

I moved the gear ratio around because I noticed that I was using the motor on the wrong gear, so I fixed that. I completed the housing for the gears no walls yet, pictures of progress on the printer will come with in 2 devlogs.

I assembled the gears in tinker cad and printed them out and planned step 1 out in tinkercad (step 1 is all the gears and housing, step 2 is elec, step 3 is assembly.
