This is my first project on Flavortown. I’m excited to share my progress!CanSat is an educational program (and competition) where teams design and build a tiny satellite that’s launched by a rocket or drone and then released in mid-air. During its fall, it performs a mission—just like a real satellite, but on a smaller scale.
It’s run in many countries, often under the umbrella of CanSat programs supported by space agencies like European Space Agency.🔧 What does a CanSat usually do?
Most CanSats must:
Measure altitude, temperature, or air pressure
Send data wirelessly to a ground station
Deploy a parachute or controlled descent system
Advanced missions can include:
GPS tracking 📍
Air quality sensing 🌫️
Image capture 📷
Autonomous landing logic 🤖
🧠 What you learn
Electronics & sensors
Programming (often Arduino / MicroPython)
Mechanical design
Teamwork & project management
Real aerospace-style problem solving
