Delta is a modular CNC-based machine designed to swap heads automatically. The goal is to create an open source platform where users can design their own heads and some other modifications making it capable of do multiple tasks at one machine. such as creating and procesing of the same material. The project combines mechanical design, custom electronics and embedded software and system automation.

Delta is a modular CNC platform designed to be user friendly and planned so anyone can contribute and build their own modifications.

The first version I built was mainly to prove to myself that I could create a simple machine using only X and Y axes, with manual head changes. This first prototype was made using 3d printed parts and a custom PCB, which can be seen in the image.

Now, I feel ready to take Delta to the next level by adding a Z axis and developing an automatic head swapping system.
