Lately, I’ve been focusing less on adding new content and more on refining what’s already there — and it made a bigger difference than I expected.
The main changes in this update revolve around character dialogue, config flow, and the menu system.
I revisited several character speeches with a critical eye. Some lines were doing too much, others not enough. The goal here wasn’t to rewrite personalities, but to make conversations feel more intentional: clearer pacing, stronger emotional beats, and less filler. A few small tweaks in wording ended up making interactions feel more natural and grounded.
The config flow was another pain point. Things technically worked, but the order and logic behind certain configurations felt clunky and unintuitive. I reorganized how settings and states progress, which should make both development and player experience smoother. It’s one of those invisible changes — you don’t really notice it when it’s good, but you definitely feel it when it’s bad.
The menu also received some attention. Navigation is now more consistent, and the structure better reflects how the game actually wants to be played. I tried to reduce friction and make choices feel deliberate rather than overwhelming or confusing.
Overall, this update was about polish and cohesion. No big flashy features, but the game feels more confident, more readable, and more comfortable to move through. These kinds of changes are easy to postpone, but they’re essential for building a solid foundation going forward.

On to the next iteration.
