I’m pretty much done the project. I made some new UI and really cool effects, it also takes me a lot of time fixing the bug of the units attacking each others. Now it’s a playable game and I hope you will enjoy it. I’m actually running out of time so…
in this game, player just needs to press the buttons to make the units attack each other, there is only a infinity mode in this game, and there is no actual losing, it’s just how much bases you can take over
I just done the very basic game play for this game.
this is a chess game, but the way you play is just similar to the battle kittens.
I feel this kind of game is just perfect for remake chess because they have similar logic, player controls some units and go fight each other, and u should use different units to get better effect
pawn: it’s the basic unit, cheap, not very strong, but when there is a lot of them coming out togeter, they r still really powerful
rook: has a high hp so basicly used for defence
Knight: it moves fast, does area damage
bishop: it does long range damage
queen: it can heal other units but doesn’t do any damage
king: has high damage it self and can give effects to other units around it, it will give 35% more attacking rate and 25% moving speed

It’s the first 3D action game I made, I hope you can have fun within it :)

added some music and sound effects for this game
infinity mode, it’s like vampire survivors that you can upgrate yourself or your shadow and face waves and waves of enemies.
I also fix a bug that sometime the ranged shadow can’t fire, it’s really hard to find what’s wrong with it, and finally I finded out that it’s just because the bullets touches the shadow’s collider .
I’m pretty much done for shipping, it’s not a huge project, and I will have both web version and a windows version.

I made a lot things to trying to finish the game, now I still need to add some audio for this game
I made a tutorial so make sure everyone knows how to play it
Better UI for the whole game, I added effects on those buttons and it look cool
made the starting panel, also add a head on the side(the same head on the seal) and it will look at your mouse
seal, it will drop after you eliminated all the enemies, press e to pass the level
I made 4 normal level and a boss level, you can also unlock all the level if you don’t want to stuck in the easy ones
the shield shadow will does 2 damage now
fixed the bug that sometimes the player will be punch by the gaint and get out the wall

New updates:
5different enemies
the normal one, dont have anything special
the speed one, moves faster and small
tuff one, bigger, has more hp,but moves slow
shielded one, similar to the tuff one, but get a shield and a spear
long range one, attack from further away and shoots bullets
I also maked the setting panel and a very simple main scene, Now you can also pause the game. when all the enemy are eliminated, a seal will drop and player can pass the level by go beside the seal and press “e” . I also improve the player’s dash so it’s not that op, that’s pretty much it:)
this time I just solved and answerd some problem from feedbacks from last ship
added a side panel to show those buttons. also this game supports arrow keys. Please check the tutorial first before u play it, it’s not normal tetris. this game does not support mobile yet. I hope u can actually understand the game and play it as it should be. If u can’t figue out how to play it, ask me in slack @cpy

I finally done the basic gameplay, it’s actually harder than I thought. I made 3kinds of shadows:
medee, costs one energy and does 3 damage
long range, costs two energys and does shoot 1 damaged shadow ball
sheld, can not attack, have a shield that can depend all damage to it once
for the player, it has the basic movements and now it’s way smoother than before. player can also attack the boss by hand and does 5damage!
and the first boss we get!!! – the gaint, in the fist stage ,it will only attack with hand, it will have a bigger range attack every two attacks. when it’s hp drops to 2/3, it will get to second stage, which can jump up high and land on enemy(just like megaknight), when the hp drops to 1/3, it will dash and crash everything on it’s way

I was about to make a normal fps game at first, but I get a crazy idea, what if the player can cause damage to the enemy? so I made this, the player can shoot shadow to attack(not yet), Now I just did the basic movements and the animations.the shadows can’t attack yet and there is no enemy. I’m thinking about a boss fight game, and two different kind of shadows
I won’t spend a lot time on this project, but I will done the basic functions

this time, I made the input delay a littel bit better,so make sure it feels smooth.
also, I made tutorial in lobby and in the party moded map, if it’s the first time you play the game, it will auto show the tutorial
a pause button, I figued out that if it’s in full screen, when player click esc for the pause menu, then it will exit fullscreen mode, now player can just press the button
user info delete, now you can delete your info in the game(such as if it’s the first time you play the game)

I do read all the feedbacks and now I already fixed some of them. now, there is no more line between the tiles :), also I figued out that it’s super laggy on computer that doesn’t have high performence, so I optimaled the performance, and now player can choose the quelity of the game. if player don’t choose one, it’s auto as default. I also fixed the party box bug, now it will disappear when player exit to the mainmenu or lobby:)

I‘m basicly already done the project and about to ship it!
I add some better UI and also cool animations to it. Also, now player can change the quality and the resolution(I don’t think it’s gonna work on web…) and the most amazing thing I made for this game is the tutorio, it teaches player all the basic controls. it’s really important for this game because it’s a complex and easy to get confused game(it’s confusing even with the tutorial :[ though). but anyways Hope you enjoy the game:)

I finally done the basic game playing. it’s similar to tetris if you don’t turn. but player can turn by “q” and “e”. all the blocks will eliminate by the 2d logic, or based on what play see. but they are in a 3d world so blocks in different surface can infect each other. I also made a realy cool breaking effects for the blocks. and “f” for a preview site. so player can see the whole countainer and where are the blocks in 3d. in this game, the difficulty is not from how fast the blocks are droping, but the blocks will get more complecating as time passed.
This is a party game that allows maxium 6 players to play. Players race, build, and sabotage each other in different maps. I would say that the hardest part about this game is multiplayer and the beetle because of the management. The thing I’m most proud of is that this game brings a lot of fun to my friends and me and it’s the game that I have most completion.
It’s almost ready for the first shipping!!!

I actually spent a lot time on this project. There is much more details in this game than just a normal demo. This is a game that is really fun to play within your friends or family. Just like those nintendo game, it’s more about connection within other people. I hope u can have a good time playing this game and enjoy it.

Added a start scene and the score system. the front page is drew by AI for now and I might replace it. Also the exp for upgrading is now visaullable and you can see your current lv. Next step I’ll add a exp bar for the game. Also fixed some bugs.
