So Ive been working on this CRAZYY!!! flight computer and it uses STM32, ICM42688, BMP390 and etc!! ive faced alot of off issues while doing this, which are:
- power supply:
the main power supply to the ic is by usb this is because i dont want to burn my house lol, the ics use 3.3v and i give 5v with ams so that they can get the sweet 3.3v meanwhile servos drink alot of power and if it drink alot of power, we will be having some bad poower spike and the board may go kaboom! soo i used another usb supply for 2 servos which does the Fx and Fz forces which was coded in matlab! ill include it in the next devlog! :)) - ICs:
the first MCU i used iis esp32 but the thing is! its bad….. really bad… when your gonna take your board and put it on real time flights and having calculation delay, the rocket’s cooked… so i used stm32! the best ic out there so far! its the f7 series.. and coming to the magnetometer which basically accelerometer and gyroscope combined and feed our postition to stm32 the thing is! its bad.. again its worse! it sends data bad, inaccurate data!, more over just to be used for simple gyro scope rather than a fully functional rocket! so i used ICM42688 which i think is VERY GOOD :)) so yeah thats all for the pcb, heres the photos and! i didnt add decoupling capacitors which i will add in futureeeeeeee. (tbh this part took me 2 months but i didnt know hc at all 😭 (supposed to work in slack)
