A roughly pocket sized DIY gamma spectrometer. Designed to be comparable to if not better than the Radio-code and cheaper. Current plan is a NaI(Tl) scintillation crystal with an R7400U Hamamatsu PMT but we might be shifting to a GSO(Ce) scintillator and PIN diode (possibly Hamamatsu S1223-01). Run all of this through a ADC (minimum of 14-bits and 1 MSPS) to a raspberry PI. Possibly bare-metal in the future. Working on this with a close friend.
