Focus Mode is a Chrome extension that helps reduce distractions on YouTube by hiding recommended content, related videos, and Shorts. I wanted to make something small but actually useful, especially for studying or trying to stay focused online. The goal is to keep YouTube usable when you need a specific video without getting dragged into random content.
I used AI to help plan the extension structure, generate and refine parts of the code, and troubleshoot issues while building. I tested the extension locally, adjusted features, and iterated on the final behavior.
