This project brings native hearing aid audio streaming to Linux, making the platform more accessible for users with hearing loss. It enables Linux systems to directly stream sound to hearing aids that support the widely used ASHA (Audio Streaming for Hearing Aids) protocol, a feature already common on iOS and Android but missing on desktop Linux. By closing this accessibility gap, the project allows users to hear system audio, media, and communication output straight through their hearing devices without extra hardware that is often times expensive and vendor specific.
